Recently, after the oven ignition and putting to test run system-wide, the 1st supporting project of 2 million-ton steel integration project of China Kingho Qinghai Corporation is indicating all well and stabilized operation in production. The factory has produced 4000 tons of qualified products, which marks the supporting project of 2 million-ton steel integration project of China Kingho Qinghai Corporation has been successfully put into operation.
    It is reported that the construction of 1.2 million-ton pellet factory of China Kingho Qinghai Corporation in Golmud commenced on March 17, 2011, which lasted one year and seven months. The factory is located at the southeast corner of Kingho Steel Industrial Park, covers an area of 200,000 square meters, with total investment of 346.5 million yuan (including the main investment of pellet project 226.5 million yuan and supporting infrastructure 120 million yuan). The project uses advanced grate-kiln-ring cold machine technology and is the world's highest pellet plant in elevation. One of the pre-stages of this steel integration project is mainly to provide raw materials for ironmaking unit of the steel integration project. The raw materials of the Pellet Factory are mostly the fine iron powders produced by Galinge concentrating mill using the ores from Kendekeke Mine of the Kingho’s Mining Company (annual output is 250 million tons) and binder- bentonite from Delingha Baishiquan Bentonite Mine. The automatic batching, vigorous mixing, joint burden distribution, exhaust gas recirculation, distributed control, sealed dust collection and other advanced technologies had also been introduced.
    With its completion and operation, the project is expected to achieve annual sales income of 1.26 billion yuan, annual revenue of 200 million yuan, so as to positively promote the city's technology advancement of black & non-ferrous metals industry, industrial restructuring and local economic development stabilization.
